Jackie Kalen was on hand to attend the International Boxing Hall of Fame class of 2025 ceremony to induct Manny Pacquiao, Vinny Paz and Michael Nunn. The 2025 class also includes Yessica Chavez, Anne Sophie Mathis and Mary Jo Saunders in the women’s modern category and Cathy Davis in the women’s trailblazer category. Cut man Al Gavin joined referees Kenny Bayless and Harry Gibbs in the non-participant category while broadcaster/journalist Randy Gordon, television producer Ross Greenburg gained induction in the observer category. In addition, Rodrigo Valdez was voted into the old timer category and Owen Smith gained induction as a men’s pioneer. All inductees were voted in by members of the Boxing Writers Association of America.
Headlining the Modern Men’s Category were global boxing icon Manny Pacquiao, five-time world champion Vinny Paz, and former middleweight champion Michael Nunn. In the Women’s Modern Category, the Hall welcomed celebrated champions Yessica Chávez, Anne Sophie Mathis, and Mary Jo Sanders. Cathy Davis was honored in the Women’s Trailblazer Category for her pioneering contributions to the sport.
The Non-Participant Category saw inductions of revered cutman Al Gavin, along with respected referees Kenny Bayless and the late Harry Gibbs. In the Observer Category, honors went to veteran boxing broadcaster and journalist Randy Gordon, and influential television producer Ross Greenburg, recognized for their enduring impact on how the sport is presented and covered. The Old Timer Category included former middleweight world champion Rodrigo Valdez, while Owen Smith was inducted as a Men’s Pioneer, commemorating his early and foundational contributions to the sport. All honorees were selected by members of the Boxing Writers Association of America (BWAA), in recognition of their exceptional achievements and legacy within the sport of boxing.
